after 26 days 9 1/2 hours and 3,181 miles!
The landscape here is stunning. We are anchored inside an extinct volcanic
crater, where the skyline meets the rim of the volcano there are huge
clouds scudding along.
Now catching up on much needed sleep, enjoying baguettes, and making more
new friends! Already we have an invitation to Mercury Bay in NZ, to visit
Terry and Maureen and the two Mikes for a late birthday celebration for M!
The Yachties who know these seas tell us that the conditions were not
normal, and we all came across very confused seas were the waves were all
coming from different directions, so slowing down our progress and making
it more uncomfortable, but making us all the more proud of our slow but
steady crossing. Skipper did a fabulous job of getting us all here as
usual!
Tomorrow we will hire a car and go exploring and hopefully climb to the
3rd largest waterfall in the world!
Thankyou to Pam and Lorraine for being our anchors back at home, and
keeping you avid blog readers uptodate with our adventures.
More when we reach Tahiti in a couple of weeks!
