Wednesday 22nd June
We left Plymouth at around 1.00pm yesterday. We tried sailing for a few
hours but the wind was light and in the wrong direction. Typical sailing weather
then.
There was a great sighting of 3 or 4 dolphins playing round the boat in the
evening.
The overnight passage was a mixture of sailing and motoring but we are now
(9am) motoring through thick fog.
We need to fill up with diesel before setting off across the Bay of Biscay
so are planning to stop in northern France at L’Aber Wrac’h. We then need to
wait a few hours for a favourable tide.
The wind is predicted to go northerly at some point which will then be
perfect for our trip south to Spain.
Crew are all happy and eating well. Jane and Vicki fast asleep.
