It has been a very slow 5 days, virtually no wind
so we have only been making about 50 miles a day.....so it now looks like we
will be spending Christmas day at sea and not at anchor in
Martinique....good job we have a back up plan!!
Fishing is still a black art .....we did catch the
most magnificent Mahi Mahi (Dolphin fish) that was at least a metre long
(honest) but it broke free as we tried to get it on board......so we now have no
lures left and only a few hooks...so we are now trying a teaspoon with a hook
attached, will let you know if it works!
The wind picked up this morning and the Spinnaker
is flying our speed is now 6. knots so it is good to be moving
again.
