Bobbed around at between 1 and 3 knots all the early hours - after a really nice sail on Saturday afternoon and then crawled which almost turned into ennui.

The most exciting thing when we were going well was a sperm whale broaching just next to Scherzo to the north of Sao Miguel - and and then as we got to the corner of the island (and lost all wind) we were met by porpoises and dolphins and then a turtle.

Millimetre by millimetre we crossed the line with really no wind at all, and logged our arrival at UT 08:39 19seconds - giving us a reasonable mid position (8th in class) corrected result for leg one.
