                | Hello Dear Reader my name is Eddie, I am a B&G H3000 auto pilot and the
sixth member of the crew. Unlike the humans I live on the boat 24/7 not just high days and holidays,
I do not make a mess, eat, pass wind or have any of the unpleasant habits of my
human colleague. Let me explain what has driven me to write this blog. Despite faultless
service over the past 3 years I have been totally ignored throughout this trip
the humans claim the on-going battery issue is the reason although I suspect
there is a jealousy issue as I am by far the best helm aboard. So imagine my joy last night when one kind crew member offered me the
opportunity to have a go, I acquitted myself admirably probably recording the
best speed over a sustained period. As with any happy tale there is dark side and I fear retribution, only time
will tell. As I sit below deck I witness all the activity and must say that they are
doing jolly well speeding across the ocean with only 570 miles to go and are now
in a weather system that will deliver them to St Lucia on Wednesday 12th. I have nothing much else to report so I will sign off and return to my dark
cupboard hoping to be called on again. Regards Eddie |
