                | Firstly, we understand that the photo didn’t appear yesterday. We have
tried again but even very small pictures take ages to upload so we have to find
another way – sorry no pics for now. After the events of the first night we are much more in the grove and going
well.  Spent most of last night under large spinnaker until the wind got up
to 20 kts and we brought it down.  Rest of the night spent under No1 Jib
and full main.  The snuffer didn’t work quite as advertised so we have
worked at improving our technique using the small spinnaker and now feel we are
up to speed.  The asymmetric spinnaker has been repaired but we don’t fully
trust they repair and will only use it in very light winds. Currently we are enjoying 18-20 kts of breeze from ENE under small
spinnaker and full main and making 8 kts in moderate seas.  We have clear
skies, blue sea and excellent visibility.  This morning the boat was
visited by a pod of dolphins, which always cheers everyone up.  Lunch is
about to be served by the Owner, who is making it under trying conditions and
sounding like Gordon Ramsey.  No fishing yet – too much boat
speed. |
