As some of you know, we have been using this Atlantic adventure to raise a little money for charity.  The UK video games industry runs a wonderful charity called GamesAid, which does a tremendous job improving the lives of disabled and disadvantaged children.  All the money raised is going to GamesAid and some of you have donated kindly already.  So far we have raised about £1,500, but it would be fantastic if we could raise more.  If you would like to sponsor us, then please go to www.justgiving.com/jefftawney.  It is very easy to donate and would be hugely appreciated.  As an extra, small incentive we will put the names of all donors added to the website between the time of this post and midnight on Christmas day into a hat and draw one winner.  That person will win Geronimo’s ensign which has been flying proudly from the stern for the past 15 days.  It doesn’t have any bloodstains, nor musket-shot holes, nor indeed much historical value, but it is a fine Union Jack, albeit a bit battered, and the chance to win it is yours.
