We left Les sables D'Olonne at 8.00 on May 25th, with a slight mist and no wind. Visibility decreased and we ended motor sailing in the rain. We passed a fleet of about 40 single handed French racing boats, then arrived at the bridge to the Ile de Re, which we had to pass under. There never looks enough height as you approach, even though you know there is!
Arrived at 13.45 - raining hard so the tent is up. The next day was beautiful again, and we saw a couple by the castle, in photo, posing for their wedding photo as we passed by on the ferry back from the market.
