sorry readers but the blog stopped rather abruptly, I hope you did not think we
had come to grief. Well partly it was the end of night watches ( when I normally
wrote the blog) and all the activity of arriving in Antigua. We have not
stopped. To pick up where I left off.... Could not get the engine it start
despite much effort so agreed we could sail into English Harbour and drop anchor
just inside the harbour. We slowed down on tuesday night ( or we would have
arrived in darkness) and sailed into the bay - needed a short tow to get out of
the channel. Arrived about 0900 local time after 17 days. Met our friends from
Blue Heeler.
We have been busy trying to get things moving to fix the engine, but hold on this is the Carib and manana time. We got a bit anxious being at anchor without power so got the yard to tow us to the dock so now at least we are safe, have water and electricity again Trish felt she had been away from home for a long time and managed to get an earlier flight back to the UK so we saw here off late yesterday. We are enjoying EH and Nelsons Dockyard and it is hot and sunny. Just getting over the trip. Thx for the congrats sent to us. Brian |
