While we are still aiming for Coffs Harbour, we
have changed plan re the passage we will take. The long range forecast is
now predicting a compact low coming out from the Aus coast between Bundaberg and
Brisbane over the weekend, so we want to be as far south as we can. This
way we hope not to see the worst of it and if we do brush the bottom half, we
should have easterly winds in the right direction to blow us west to
Coffs. At the moment we are aiming for a point just north of Middleton
Reef, which we should reach later in the week, where we will turn pretty much
west for Coffs.
