Morning Bloggers,
Slightly moreawake having had an extra hour or so's
sleep on deck in full oily's, hood, spray mask etc - glad I decided to bring all
that now!
We are thoroughly soaking now, boats really hot and
stinking as it is so damp and we have had to keep all hatches shut to prevent
more water getting in.
We have had our first squall this morning,
basically a huge ridge of clouds approached from behind, it was very dark, and
low so dark we had to put the lights on the instruments.
Having seen it coming we snuffed the kite early,
dropped it on the deck and rode it out with just the main, sea went
completely flat and it rained for Britain. Highest gust only 23 knots but
it was certainly worth being cautious taking the chute down as a
precaution.
Later today we will have a guest blog from Jamie
Keogh - a lot to look forward to there!
All the best in the snowy isle of
Britain.
Regards,
