James discovers Baby Wipes and its Sunday
breakfast time
James made a big discovery yesterday afternoon,
baby wipes! When provisioning the boat back in the UK, Becci and I were told
that no-one would be able to take a shower during the trip as there would be
insufficient water. So when we made our mad trolley dash around Tesco's for all
our dried goods that were to be stored on the boat before shipping from
Gillinhgam to Portugal, we included enough baby wipes for everyone to have 'baby
wipe bath' every day of the journey. These were stored in the cupboard in the
head we are all using and supplies have been diminishing ever since. Yesterday
James discovered them for the first time. After we worked out that he had not
had a decent wash since leaving behind the cold showers on the marina in Gran
Canaria two weeks ago he proceeded to have a 'baby wash bath' in the cockpit.
Evidence is attached!
Today is Sunday and we are about 6 days from St
Lucia. The food cravings have started and a long list of 'the first thing I am
going to eat/drink/do when I get there' is starting to form. One thing we are
all craving is a proper full English breakfast. Today as a treat, Becci and Mark
russled up an amazing English breakfast as far as is possible when you're
miles from the nearest shop. We had fried eggs, fried potatoes (tinned), tinned
tomatoes and fried ham (tinned) rather than bacon. Delicious and very well
recieved. What we could really do with now is the Sunday papers.
Til tomorrow.
