 Sorry about the delay!!
We've had lots of complaints about the website not
being updated..but there's a good reason..we've been really really
busy!!
People don't realise what a hard life we have
getting the boat ready here in the sun:-)!
Joking aside Thomas and I have recently returned
from an intensive trip home to Sweden, and in the meanwhile, Janne and
Lotta have returned to Sweden today, and Mats has been away on
Tenerife.
We now have a new crew member in Bosse, who joined
us a few days ago.
Bosse is among other things a Fireman, pilot
and paramedic, (which could come in useful) and when he gets time he likes to
mess about on boats!
Welcome Bosse!
The time since we have been in Las Palmas has been
spent getting the boat prepared, we've repaired the sails, and sorted out the
spinnaker pole, and equipped the boat with a lot of safety equipment to meet the
ARC requirements, we're in the middle of upgrading the battery charger, fixing
extra diesel tanks, and have spent all day at the supermarket buying food and
stuff.
I've left all the guys loading the boat and have
retired to the Sailors Bar to update the blog..why do I get all the boring
jobs?!
I've also been driven mad by the incompetence
of DHL, that despite their claims, do not know how to deliver a parcel from one
country to another! Never use them!
The time is getting close for the start, we leave
on sunday, and the marina is really busy with all the boats arriving and
getting ready.
I've go to go to the sail shop now to buy some
gear, following are a few pictures, some taken by Mats whwn he was up the mast,
and some from our provisioning today, and I promise that there will be more
before we leave!
Some of the other guys will be writing the blog as
well!
Cheers!/Jeff
