We left Harbortown Marina in Ft Pierce about 10am yesterday, we had a light
easterly then a southeasterly and had to motor to get across the gulf
stream. The boat was heading about 120 degrees but we were going about 75
degrees because the gulf stream was so strong, fortunately we wanted to do
75, so basically we were slipping sideways but all was good. We finished
with the gulf stream sometime early this morning. Today we have the west
winds we wanted but they are really light, we have our cruising shute up and
are doing only about 2 knots (v.v. slow) . We will probably take a long
time to get to Bermuda again. All are well, the ocean is a pretty blue and
it isn’t too hot. 764 miles to Bermuda.
