Well of course as soon as I sent the previous blog the wind died and we had to motor for six hours. This is always something of a decision to take as we have around 800 miles worth of fuel and 1600-odd to go. Anyway the wind came back over dinner last night (most inconvenient - I'd only just poured the Montrachet ) so we had a great sail overnight - really charging along. We're now at 23:27.50N 56:06.10W The wind has now gone sw and we're heading ne, directly for the Azores, so its pretty much dead behind us. Strombo is therefore free to do her rolling drunk act - just made a curry with the boat rolling through about 50 degrees! For pudding we had fresh grapefruit (coloured orange which was slightly odd) + mango + a good dollop of Cointreau. Pretty good it was. We crossed the Tropic of Cancer today so technically we're out of the tropics - still pretty warm though - all just in shorts. There does seem to be some sort of glitch with our comms software but I've just received 2 messages OK so hope for the best with this one. Love from three men in a boat
