SPALAX

A gusty easterly, peaking at 50 knots, was giving us a rough ride all night - someting between a roller coaster and a rodeo. Nevetheless, a reduced genoa was pulling us along at a maximum of 7.5 knots.  We are still in Hotel and the weather report for this zone was way off. A visitor dropped in and we promptly cleaned and fried it. Fly fish tastes much like a sardine. Spala is seriously making headway towards the trade-wind zone south of the 15th parallel.

Tody the weather conditions have not changed, confusing seas giving us a rather unconfortable ride and turning dishwashing with buckets of salt water a feat of gymnastics. The mood of the crew is nevetheless quite upbeat as we are slowly approaching the midway point.
