At last! Complete with a refurbished secondhand hand engine installed, we finally left Benodet on Thursday 8th October and we are now making our way down the coast of France.

We have identified a number of stopover ports on the French coast in case of emergency, but otherwise our plan is to sail non stop to Spain.

Since leaving Benodet, Darryl and I have had to find our sea legs again, due to spending a month on dry land. However things have got a bit easier as we have now been joined by Darryl's Dad. With three of us on board, this means we can now work a watch system of 8 hours on watch, 4 hours off. This means we have two people on watch at any one time and we are all still managing to grab a couple of hours sleep at regular intervals.

Our next planned stop is Zumaya near San Sebastian and we hope to be arriving there Monday evening/Tuesday morning when we shall all be in need of a full nights sleep!
