After a nearly a week trapped in Waterford and Dunmore East by high winds we finally set sail on Thursday for a very lively sail East and then North up the Irish Sea. The people of South East Ireland were amazingly welcoming and friendly and a local farmer sold us fuel for the necessary top-up due to the Bank Holiday closures of the fuel station. But having set sail we used the near gale force Southerly winds and very little use of the engine to push us into Dublin at good speed. Berthing in Poolbeg marina was comfortable and right in the centre of the city. But more about that later.......
