Last 24 hours still going West with occassional trips both North and South due to light winds.
Last 24 hours 175 miles.
Sweepstake now running for arrival time in Barbados varies between Tuesday pm and Friday pm.
Trades have not really kicked in and the 30knot wind speeds and 15kts boat speeds have yet to be achieved apart from the first 2 hours out of Sao Vincente.
Pilates classes have started on the foredeck and various people are attending! - Rod

Having been sailing for so many days we have finally come to terms with how small we are in such a vast space - and that we're not just about to see land or even another boat. The wrong wind s and our strategy have so far conspired against us - and it looks like at least one boat has 'done a horizon job' Nevertheless we are catching the other boats slowly and we remain motivated. We have settled in to becoming an efficient happy team - and if there was as much wind coming at the boat as there was coming off it - we'd be flying..
As it is - we are sailing fairly fast in more or less the right direction. It's relentlessly sunny and fair. We are all fit and ready for more action. We want some weather!

Hope all is well in landlubberland

It says its Wednesday, but - who cares.
Life is now in new context - The only important things in life now are: (not necessarily in this order)
-    What's Olly cooking for lunch
-    When's my next watch
-    How many miles to Barbados and will I win the sweep
-    Where's the loo paper
-    Will the skipper let me have a shower today
-    Will the wind swing east (so we have advantage over the others!)
-    How long to go in these nickers
-    We are very fortunate to have 3 watches and not just two, but:
    -  Where will the spare bunk be tonight
    -  When will the other watches do as many miles as ours?
See - Life has a new meaning!!
