Mantachen Bay

Well we quickly figured out that “Mantachen” must be the Mexican word for no-see-um.  Even though we anchored a mile off the beach we were still attacked almost immediately by these hungry little bugs.  We went ashore for some breakfast, bad plan.  I think that we provided more breakfast to the bugs than we ate off our plates.  Our plans for a “day or two” stay quickly changed into “let’s get the hell out of here” and by 11am we had the anchor up and were headed to Chacala 20 miles down the coast.
