Dover to Eastbourne

Today was an exciting today.

I had a ferry sandwich for breakfast passing Dover. It tasted good. Ferries passed in front, behind and beside as I passed Dover. This was one of the reasons I decided to stop before Dover so I didn't pass the port at night.

Progress was mainly under motor. Although I did get to do some sailing in the afternoon.

This was until I was rudely interrupted by the Navy, whilst I was enjoying the leisurely sail. The Navy had decided to do an exercise with live fire in the area I was passing. I had a patrol boat come to me and caution me on the radio. Under their direction, I immediately changed course rather than be a statistic of friendly fire.

I have now anchored at Eastbourne on the south coast at 1am this morning, and will had a good sleep. The wind has finally decided to come, and tomorrow looks like a good day of sailing ahead.

That's good evening from Ingrid.
