The team has managed to make it to Gibraltar.

An early start at home (05:30) for an 07:45 flight from Gatwick. Upon arrival we "divided and conquered"... Kevin went to (no prize for guessing) to the chandlery store, Andy (Tivenan) and Jane went to Morrisons (a grocery store for our non UK friends) while Michael continued on to the marina with all 9 pieces of luggage. In addition to the regular boaty stuff, Kevin was also charged with obtaining a replacement for Kelsey who was our personal bread maker by purchasing a- you guessed it- bread maker! Jane and Andy managed to fill two and one half shopping carts full of food. They had so much food that the first taxi was not big enough to take them. Michael managed to get on the boat, opened up the windows, transferred the bags and "waited"for the others to arrive. (suspiciously his tan had improved a lot today). Kevin arrived back first, just in time to wash the boat with Michael- apparently there had been a dust storm in the past two weeks.

When the (no longer happy) grocery shoppers arrived it was amazing to see how much food 4 people will eat in 10 days! Even more impressive was the ability to find a place to store everything.

The crew retired to "Casa Pepe's" for dinner.

Excellent meal of fish, more fish and even more fish. Andy commented that it was ironic that this was the last day for the next 10 days that we are going to have fish!

Great first day- we are organised and ready to go first thing in the morning. Well, truth be told, the barrier to the marina does not open until 08:30 so the starting time will be very social.
