We arrived Thursday 27th November and John and Stacey were flying back home Sunday 30th, so even though the boat is a mess we decide to ignore it and just have some chill out time together. Stacey and I spend one day just window shopping and having a relaxed lunch out as it will be a couple of months before I see her again, John and Denz find a little bar full of locals and drink beer and eat locally caught fish.
Once John and Stacey have gone Ray arrives to sort our IT system out. We settle into a routine, me doing the usual cleaning the boat, washing, cooking and re stocking the boat for our passage across the Atlantic, Ray IT, and Denz changing oil filters, replacing light bulbs, clean battery terminals and a gel coat repair in our bow locker. We allow ourselves one day sight seeing, which was really interesting, going deep into the volcano by tunnels formed by the moving molten. John arrives back and goes through the electronics, we still can’t get moving weather but decide we can manage without it. We say goodbye to Ray and by Wednesday 10th were ready to go, we just fuel up in Porto Calero and by 1300 hours were refuelled, sailing in force 5 to 6 and all is good.
