Dehalak Deset & Nokra
Deset
The heat and hunidity of Massawa harbour were
left behind this morning and we had a brisk sail to an anchorage between Dehalak
Deset and Nokra Deset about 30 miles East of Massawa.
The anchorage is in a former Soviet equipped naval base which was abandoned
in a hurry and there are the wrecks of several ships, floating docks and cranes
here.
Its still hot (38C) but the humidity is only 40% rather than the 60% we had
in Massawa. We can also swim again, which is slightly cooling - the water
temperature is 32C. |
