A rough night at sea. The wind came up and just
trying to stay on course westward was difficult.
Raymarine plotter losing position although lat and
long were there. C70 was putting boat on-land! This was not dangerous but it
meant that I had no sleep off my watch as I had to reset the C70 and set up
hand-held GPS as back up so that crew 2 had a point to steer to as we were
running only 4 or five miles offshore.
Decided to miss Figuera as the almanac said the
entrance was dangerous in N westerlies.
