In St Croix US Virgin Islands the Coast Guard were zealous in enforcing life jacket requirements. They checked as we were using our RIB to travel 200 meters to shore but were satisfied when we had adult ones under the seat and Ishbel was wearing hers.

However I decided to get an extra set to permanently store under the seat. Look hard at the yellow sales message... it says '100% closed cell material will not absorb water, even if riddled with bullets'. And this was on the child jackets!  I know discipline needs to be tough but ....
