Ok. I was impatient. Perhaps my memories of sailing 30 knot winds in 12 foot seas was rosier because on the San Francisco Bay it only took a couple hours to get from one side to the other.

This however is not fun. and the seas are rough and getting rougher and the wind is only gusting to 30, by 4 am its supposed to be blowing a steady 30 knots. Who knows that might be easier. The combination of big gusts from 18 knots to 33 knots combined with a 4 meter wave than twists Sephina around every 8 minutes or so is enough to make a sailor yearn for calmer weather. And the weather report I just downloaded that earlier had it lightening tomorrow morning now has it blowing steady all Saturday and into Sunday. There is no way out of it. I’ve looked at the options.

But Sephina is taking it like a champ. I can’t believe how solid and stable she is in this. Wish I could say the same for the crazy mess of a cabin that I now stare at after its contents have been tossed and strewn and mixed and tossed once again.

Oh. And Larry if you’re reading this Im sick. I woke up this morning feeling like I might be getting sick. And sure enough. Cough, chest congestion. Body aches. Headache. Its all there.

I hope Santa is going to be nice.
