We finally made it! After nearly 3 weeks waiting for a break in the weather and finding a location for FKv in Perth, Craig and I set off at 1330hrs on Sunday 21 and headed for Fremantle. We were lucky to start with a 15-18kt northwester which pushed us down the coast at close to 8kts. This gradually backed towards the south, but never went beyound SSW so were had a fairly quick run down the coast. the last 6 hrs was quite wet and lumpy with the wind getting close to 30kts. we were down to 3 reefs and a tiny bit of headsail. We pulled into a pen in Northport Fremantle at 1830hrs.

We will stay here until the mast is removed for hinging, and the gearbox repaired, then motor up the river, under the bridges to RFBYC where a mooring awaits us.
