We headed out from our mooring at 1645hrs today. Hadn't gone very far when we came to a grinding halt when the skipper missed a mark, cut a corner, and touched a bit of a coral bommie. Bit embarrassing really. No real damage done, and off we went again. Now nearly 30nm out with 2 reefs in the and the headsail at about #3 size. doing mid 7's with 15-17kts of wind from the south east. We are expecting fairly good wind ranging from 15-25kts from mostly SE and backing E as we get closer to Australia. At this pace we will most likely be in Cairns next Monday or Tuesday.( Wednesday at the latest)
