On Sunday 6 November we completed our practical Sea Survival Course at Fremantle Sailing club. The practical exercises involve using a fire blanket, flares, and smoke as well as a chilly swim wearing full wet weather gear and a life jacket, righting and climbing into a life raft. We met some great people some of whom had participated in numerous Sydney to Hobart races and the fatal Freo to Bunbury race.
