Day 2 (Attempt 2) - Sailing properly at last

ARC Crossing 2017
Mon 4 Dec 2017 16:04
22:59.58N 018:44.26W   at noon 2452nm to go.  189nmn logged, 79nm made good.

Quiet 24 hours on Ecover - Pizza for dinner, to make space so we can freeze some bread.  Engine went off about 10pm and a good night of sailing.  One fish caught - unidentified and didn't look like good eating.  Also some distant dolphins (large group - 50+) and something else with a fin.

Autopilot playing up again, but now we've disproved or fixed most of the other potential causes, we spent an  hour or so going through the installation / calibration routine and it seems to have calmed down.  We crossed the Tropic just after dawn, but it has to be said it still felt pretty cold (To us - so not shorts & t-shirt temperature until lunchtime :-)

We put the kite out just after lunch, so hoping for some better mileage today, although we won't be flying it at night.  Arran has the speed record at 10.92kn surfing, but we are quite pleased the wind has dropped a little since then....
