1700 hrs Sat 28th Nov. Had a busy day today. Bob landed a fish and we have no idea what it was so threw it back. During the night a frieghter passed 1/2 mile in front of us. Passed 2 yachts this morning but 6 miles distant. A whale then surfaced alongside us and blew a huge waterspout but not quick enough to get the camera before diving.  We then passed within 50 metres of a German single hander. Its like Oxford circus out here. Yesterday tried a twizzle rig set up with the twins but did not seem to achieve much. We will try a modified set up later.

Winds have varied between 11 and 20 knots with contant speeds of 5.5 to 7 knots. Surfing yesterday at 10 knots in higher winds. Still sailing near the rumb line to Barbados since the trade winds are holding up to 30N for the next few days.

Down to last 2 btls Gin and 100 cans of beer so hurrying along and hoping to pass a few ARC boats who left 2 days earlier than us. Eating well and weather good with plenty of sun bathing but a bit cold and damp at night.
