Mostly Sunny with a Chance of Tuna

Hello world!

Delicia is currently in the lead of 270 boats, having extended our lead on
our neighbours during the night. We started with a high sea state on the
22nd and it stayed at a couple meters until today, when it seems to have
calmed a bit.

On Tuesday we caught a dorado, which James craftily killed Mexican-style: by
hitting it like a piñata with a bottle of tequila.

Later that afternoon we had a chess-like tug of war with some sail cloth
forward of the mast; after an hour of this game we recovered it. Despite the
frustration everyone seemed in good spirits if a bit exasperated by the end,
and by some miracle the dorado seviche wasn't knocked over. (There were two
galley casualties on Monday including an innocent fruit smoothie made with
fresh mangoes and passion fruit!) Looking forward to sushi with the next
fish.

We have had boats nearby each day and it has been fun to feel the
competition that has fuelled. Wednesday night James and Theo saw some
dolphins. After James took the wheel to race them down waves, a rumour
developed that James now holds the speed record. However there was only one
witness.

Today is Friday - TGIF! - and we've seen plenty of flying fish. Our cruising
chute is up so we're moving much better in the swell with winds just in the
mid-teens.

Onwards!

Best regards to our friends,
Team Delicia
