Hi Sam and George,
Well, everything continues to be going along very
nicely onboard. Much to our delight the Northerly winds have continued to hold
and we're making good progress towards The Azores, hoping to be in Horta
sometime on Sunday. We got a fantastic 175 mile run in the last 24hours -
testament to the staysail really, which is a really bonus in any stronger winds,
powering us along when combined with some headsail - and keeping everything
comfortable at the same time.
Apart from the issue with the VHF, which we can get
sorted on arrival in Horta, Champlain is really looking after us - and we are,
of course, returning the favour. The air is definitely starting to feel warmer
now and there is much antipation of some prolonged sunshine!
