The last four days have been spent working on minor repairs and organizing the tons of tools, and supplies we have been bringing aboard.  Finding a place for everything so that everything can have its place has required moving everything at least half a dozen times. Our goal was have enough organization to get out of Portsmouth, RI yesterday and back down the bay to Newport for the start of the 2010 Newport Bermuda Race.

We did it.  We arrived off Conanicut Island just east of Newport to settle in and watch the race.  The start and the first flight of boats started at 2:00 with another start every 10 minutes for the next 2.5 hours. 200 boats racing and twice that cruising in and around everywhere to watch. With thousands on the shore at Castle Rock it was a spectacular event to witness.

We spent the evening in Dutch Harbor and will leave shortly either for Cutty Hunk or Edgartown depending on winds and seas.

Take care, and fair winds,

George
