What an incredible experience.  I am very comfortable with the seas and the boat....wasn't so sure about this adventure a month ago!   I can't believe I am even used to the constant noises and rocking.  I am loving it.

We are about 120 miles from Newport and are moving along with very little sail at about 9 - 10 knots.  The winds are between 20 - 25 knots, and the boat is relatively comfortable.

Hope all is well in Vermont, NY, CA, IL, CT, PA, MA, Canada and all the other places our blogging friends are...

I have to make a comment on Sam's last note.  Her key word is relative.  It really is exciting, and a real challenge; it is also truley exhausting to maintain ballance 24 hours a day for days, even in your sleep.  You just can't be sloppy in what you do.  Each movment and step needs to be calculated to ensure you don't slip, slam or break something, or dash yourself into a bulkhead on the other side of the boat because you missed your grip or lost ballance. A trip to the head in the middle of the night is an adventure in itself.  So with adventures so easily achieved, I think we have much to look forward to.
