CATCH UP -

After the first great day of sailing out of Tenerife the wind deserted us as expected but did not come back. What ever option you looked at the conclusion was the same, there was not much wind in the Atlantic and probably would not be for about a week or so. We took an early decision to motor to the Cape Verde islands to re-fuel and after a short stop arriving around Mid day on Friday 23rd we left again at 18.00 still with no wind. At least the weather models were promising a good band of steady wind by late Sunday south of 14 degrees North so we motored south and west towards this point. Fortunately they were right and as promised the wind started filling in and since then we have enjoyed two great days of fast downwind sailing with another week of this likely. This should be enough to ensure we manage to arrive in Antigua more or less as scheduled.

Some pictures and 'Life on board" stories tomorrow!
