When we arrived there were no one at the quay and we took a mooring in the bay. Later in the evening we learned from the harbor personell there had been a football match were Croatia were playing and that was the reason for no harbor personell on our arrival. Next day in Vila Luka we rented a car and drove to the town Korcula after we visited Vela Spela an old settlement from year 16000BC, approximate 18000 years ago. It's supposed to be one of the europeen oldest settlements. They are still working in the cave.
Korcula city is an old city with wall arround and any stairs and walking streets. It is not possible to drive inside of the townwalls. The town was the home city for Marco Polo back in 1200.
