Saturday 3rd July

We decided to have a "rest day" and stay at Ardfern, especially as we had TV reception to watch the England v Ukraine game. Chris went for a walk over the Craignish peninsula to Craobh for a scouting mission. I cooked some rock cakes and sorted out my wardrobe.

Good performance from England - amazing!

Sunday 4th July.

Set off at 0900 back down Loch Craignish, then passing through the Dorus Mor in the most benign neap conditions and then turned back North to Craobh (pronounced "Croove") Haven. A nice sunny morning with a light but gusty breeze from the South East. We decided not to anchor in the bay above (Bagh an Tigh-Stoir) as it will be exposed when the wind comes round to the SW, and tied up in the Marina by 1115.

We went ashore for a drink and a light lunch at The Lord of the Isles in hot sunshine. Back on the boat shortly afterwards we had to dive for cover as the heavens opened. The forecast is variable amounts of rain for the next few days.  Better than the SW coast of England though, where F9 winds are promised.
