Are we nearly there yet?

What a difference a breeze makes.  We fiddled around with the sails yesterday a few times to get a good arrangement, but since reefing down the main to it’s smalls (3rd) reef, and winding in the genoa a few more turns before going to bed, we haven’t touched it since.  The auto pilot is steering for us and the wind has been steady.  We’ve been making 7 knots progress ever since (faster than under motor), without touching anything.   Waypoint ARC4 was passed this morning (we all cheered when the alarm sounded) so now we have three more to go and less than a thousand miles.  Odd that that should seem close.

In fact we’re struggling for things to do.  All feeling a little lethargic actually.  The sea state is up again with the arrival of the wind, but this time round there’s no adrenalin to keep us going so I think we’re feeling the effects a bit more.  It’s also hot, but we can’t open the windows because the waves occasionally come in (oops - my cabin took a drenching this morning).  So we're flopping about a bit.

Are we nearly there yet?  Is there anybody out there?  Nope!

Thanks Ann for checking, but it seems even the space station is not going to put in an appearance.

Jaynie - I see Cyril has sent a voucher.  I'll probably be there before you, but can you print it off and bring it with you just on case - along with all the other papers.
