I am getting fed up of weather forecasts.....  According to the Malaysian maritime folks, we were going to have light winds, seas no bigger than 0.5 mtr and low swell, so we planned to sail to just north of Port Klang and anchor before making a short sail to Pangkor Laut and Lumut International Yacht Club for New Year - Right!!!

After about 2 hours we the wind began to pick up and it was onshore.  Swell and waves got bigger and as we passed Port Klang it was apparent that we would not be able to find a sheltered anchorage before nightfall.  We decided to carry onto Pangkor and make a night entry to the sheltered bay between the islands.  It was a pretty horrible journey.  The stabilisers were great but we spent a lot of time heading into the sea - and Tiger Balm just loved to pitch.  It was very uncomfortable, but gave us a lot of faith in the boats seaworthiness.

At about 0130 we began to "feel"  our way into the bay ion GPS and radar and found a very calm anchorage.  After making sure all was secure and safe we treated ourselves a couple of stiff drinks before going to bed. Lesson Learnt!!
