A
mid-day departure from Andraitx to Sant Carlas de la Rapita (40.37.2N
000.36.3E) gave us a good sail for five hours before losing the wind and firing
up the donkey. This was our first sail together through the night and Kim was
too nervous to be able to sleep. A 2 meter quartering sea made it too
uncomfortable anyway, so we corkscrewed through the rest of the night, slowing
down to make landfall in daylight. The new marina was still under construction,
with plenty of space available on floating pontoons and we berthed port-side to
for the first time in a couple of years. A walk into town was required for
dinner. |
