We’re still in Falmouth and even though we like the place very much, we will be leaving tomorrow morning bound for La Coruna again but with plans to divert to Brittany if the winds are too light. The repairs have been carried out with the stern gland being stripped and re-packed and a new engine isolator being fitted as the old one had started to melt on the inside causing the engine batteries to charge intermittently.
We have wined and dined well here in Falmouth with some of the local ales being highly recommended, but I have decided to clearly mark each compartment so that we don’t have any more confusion as to which compartment is the heads and which is the cabin in the wee hours. Hopefully the next up-date will be from the bay of Biscay.
