Guadiana River Ayamonte
Hi Everyone,
We hope you are very well.
We are now in Spain on the border with Portugal, on the river Guadiana which separates the countries. We had a very relaxing week in Lagos, and are returning there in November to spend the winter .Whilst there we ate in a lovely restaurant overlooking the marina and had our first Sunday lunch for months, it was enormous and we could not eat again until the next lunchtime, and it was exceedingly good value at E12.
We left Lagos and went to Portrimao for a great anchorage for three nights where we met up with some other yachties we had bumped into our way southbound down the Portuguese coast. We then went onto Faro and had a very peaceful two days at anchor, and had a tall ship as our neighbour.
We came into the river yesterday afternoon and are hoping to explore during the week.
