Day 8: Arrived yesterday afternoon and tied up at Royal
Cork Yacht Club on the Owenboy river. Nearly ran over hundreds of swimmers
sporting wetsuits and pink caps! It was the start of a charity triathlon.
Checked-in at the yacht club bar; gave name, boat name and phone number and that
was it - no documents required - they think they're in Schengen! We'll have to
work hard to find someone to stamp our passports to prove to UK officials we've
come from Ireland - the only route allowed for importing dogs ("the Dublin
dodge").... Too tired to do much last night, but looking forward to Guinness or
two this evening....
