We departed Gove at 0430 to reach the Hole in the Wall just about slack water to avoid fast currents. At about 1300 local, we entered the rip and made about 10 knots over the ground whilst sailing with main-only. A beautful journey through rocks and waterline that was quite memorable. The current can run about 10 knots through the rip.
