We chose the scenic route for our five day passage to Musket Cove. We navigated through the reefs & stopped overnight at a variety of anchorages including an old leper colony where the poorest of villagers live beside the remains of the hospital & the graveyard of over 5000 people. We anchored at Levuko which feels like a Wild West town & is the original capitol of Fiji where they seceded to the British in 1874 & also in another bay where we went ashore & saw the sugar cane fields & the single track steam railway that carries the cane to the processing factory. The scenery was magnificent, a little like Scotland with a chill in the air, so it was an amazing contrast to arrive here at Musket Cove, the perfect coral island resort.

We have had a lot of fun here with the Rally but it is tinged with sadness because the Rally is going on to Australia & "Moonshadow" stays here for three months before sailing to New Zealand. We loved having the friendship & support of everyone on the Blue Water Rally during our voyage across the Pacific.
