We lost our 2nd inverter so postings will be
shorter and less frequent. We now only have what's left of our laptop
battery.
Sunday, November 25th
Still motoring directly east. We tried sailing and
could not make any progress east. We also realized that the halyard was wrapped
around the radar.
We sent Phil up because he was the
lightest.
We saw a school of dolphin. They hitched a ride
under our bow.
Monday, November 26th
We ran into the Easterly tradewinds and are finally
under sail power again. Winds started at 15kts but increased to 20-22kts. We
have 2 reefs in the genny and 1 in the main. It's very rough and choppy out here
now, but we're making good speed (5.5-6kts). We are staying east of our waypoint
line and are heading to the Sombrero passage.
Steve made pancakes and bacon for breakfast (we
have video to prove it).
We look to be on schedule for making St. Martin's
sometime this weekend.
