Goodbye Killybegs. It's been a great stay, in spite of the weather. Sun's out now, though and a few settled days in prospect so maybe two more Donegal stops before Scotland. Wonderful to catch up with old mate from the Fleet Street days, Paddy Clancy and wife, Bernie. Thanks, too, to one of our local neighbours in the harbour who presented us with beautiful, freshly caught, mackerel fillets.
Strangely, for a place claiming to be Ireland's fishing capital, nobody sells fresh fish. Seems the massive hauls are processed and exported.
