minor problems

To any sailors: we have had a problem with
our roller furling, it has jammed 3/4 way out with no way of furling it. From
the base of the mast it looks as if there has been some sort of foul-up at the
top with the halyard, and something fell off the mast yesterday, something
circular. I'm going up the mast tomorrow if it calms down, any advice as to what
I can do would be appreciated.
